The Abu Dhabi Festival’s ‘The Art of Nature’ continues at Umm Al Emarat Park until 23 April, with an unprecedented exhibition of 40 artworks by leading UAE-based and Emirati visual artists. The exhibition is held under the support of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan Bin Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the Ruler’s Representative in the Western Region and Chair of the Environment Agency – Abu Dhabi (EAD) while its accompanying education programme in association with Mubadala, under the patronage of H.H. Sheikha Shamsa Bint Hamdan Al Nahyan, aims to inspire, inform and engage visitors of all ages.

The exhibition’s second session, ‘Artists in Conversation II’ took place yesterday at the Umm Al Emarat Park. Moderated by Alexis Gambis (filmmaker and Assistant Professor of Biology, Film and New Media at NYU Abu Dhabi), Emirati artist Azza Al Qubaisi spoke about the creation of ‘Seeds of Marine Life’, inspired by the mangroves of Abu Dhabi. She also looked back on her 10-day mentorship experience in the UK with Gill Parker as the renowned artist forged five bronze sculptures to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the Environment Agency – Abu Dhabi.
