Local musicians to perform monthly recitals inspired by the healing power of music

Abu Dhabi Music & Arts Foundation launches The Alhan (Melodies) Festival Recital series with Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi

Inspired by the firm belief in the healing power of music, Abu Dhabi Music & Arts Foundation today launched The Alhan (Melodies) Festival Recitals Series at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi. The initiative kicks off as part of the Abu Dhabi Festival programme, and will continue with monthly performances throughout the year.

Commencing with a performance by the duo Layth Al Daene (oud) and Abdel Aziz Al Tabbakh (guitar), the series will bring the nation’s musicians to Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, part of Mubadala’s network of world-class healthcare providers, to perform for patients, their families, and hospital Caregivers.

H.E. Hoda Al Khamis-Kanoo, Founder of the Abu Dhabi Music & Arts Foundation (ADMAF) and the Abu Dhabi Festival said: “This is the latest chapter in our ongoing partnership with Cleveland Clinic, which dates back to 2009. For seven years, we have worked together to advocate music and the visual arts in healthcare environments both in the UAE and US, in collaboration with musicians and artist from the UAE and beyond. The Alhan (Melodies) Festival Recitals Series at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi elevates our relationship, uniting the sectors of arts and medicine for the benefit of humanity.”
