ADMAF strengthens commitment to community through support of UAE Red Crescent Authority

Reflecting the UAE leadership’s vision of social cohesion, Abu Dhabi Music and Arts Foundation (ADMAF) today presented a cheque to the UAE Red Crescent Authority with the revenue generated from Abu Dhabi Festival 2014 ticket sales.

Presented by H.E. Hoda I. Al Khamis-Kanoo, Founder of the Abu Dhabi Music & Arts Foundation to H.E Dr. Mohamed Ateeq Al Falahi, the UAE Red Crescent General Secretary at the UAE Red Crescent Authority headquarters in Abu Dhabi, the donation solidifies an MOU signed in March 2014 which mutually recognises the two organisations’ charitable and humanitarian work. Part of the agreement designates the Red Crescent as the one of the charitable beneficiaries of the 2014 Abu Dhabi Festival ticket sale revenue in support the Red Crescent activities in and outside the UAE.

Dr. Mohamed Ateeq Al Falahi, the UAE Red Crescent General Secretary at the UAE Red Crescent Authority, highlighted the importance of humanitarian partnerships between public and private entities and charitable institutions. “The Partners of the UAE Red Crescent provide invaluable support to enable a wide range of humanitarian programmes to be delivered across the United Arab Emirates and in many countries around the world.

“The humanitarian work of the Abu Dhabi Music & Arts Foundation is to be commended. Their engagement of marginalised and underprivileged people through the arts helps strengthen communities and brings society together.”

H.E. Hoda I. Al Khamis - Kanoo, Founder of the Abu Dhabi Music & Arts Foundation (ADMAF): “I am delighted to present this donation to the UAE Red Crescent Authority from the revenue generated from this year’s Abu Dhabi Festival ticket sales. ADMAF firmly believes that all forms of philanthropy and volunteerism in the humanitarian and wider charitable sector are integral to the sustainable development of society. They form the bonds that bind us together in peace, harmony and solidarity. The donation today solidifies our partnership with the UAE Red Crescent Authority, and I look forward to many more fruitful years of collaboration in highlighting the important role the arts can play in the humanitarian effort.”
